“Firstly, this is not my best known talk, the one entitled, ‘The Power of the Pride’ – the one about teamwork. This talk is about tracking a very dangerous lion. It evolved out of a story told around the embers of a bush-veld fire; and will be told in that way, but without the fire – and no pictures will be shown.

This lion shook us up – plucked us out of our comfort zone – and life became scary. We, Phineas Mhlongo my tracker and I were forced to dramatically lift our tracking skills; deal with terrified guests; and to approach each day, each track, in a strong and intentional way.” – Ian Thomas
