The Hunters Estate is a large property with beautiful gardens, offering a variety of habitats. When you drive into the estate, parking will be provided at the open space on the left, just after the chapel.

Depending on numbers, we will split into groups and the walk should take between one and a half and two hours.

After the walk, the hotel has offered to provide us with coffee/tea and a scone with jam & cream at R70 pp.

As it is very difficult to guess the numbers, those wishing to join us for “tea” must place and pay for their orders on arrival – cash if possible! To avoid wastage, the scones will be “made to order” while we are walking.

At this stage the weather looks pleasant – but as always things can change, so please come prepared accordingly.

As always, don’t forget the cameras, binoculars, hats, comfortable walking shoes, peaceful sleep, water.
(Although we could walk a fair distance, the walks are comfortable).

Directions: From the Shell Ultra, drive approximately 11km towards Knysna. Look out for the Hunters Estate sign board and turn left. After turning, follow the road to the gatehouse and you will be directed to the parking area. As this is a private property / business please only park where directed.
